I’m logging a psychopathic-event-a-day lately, where someone’s behavior is so ‘out there’ a justifiable diagnosis ranges from mentally unstable - to - qualifiably- ‘insane’. Is this the vaccines? Or America having transitioned to Spiritual Babylon in 2020?
EPISODE ONE FROM JUST THIS WEEK: I own a Bed & Breakast. It’s reasonably high end, so we do see a slightly more tony calibre of guests, though ‘strata’ is no guarantee of rationality. This week we reserved a family suite for a couple ‘coming to town with their son’. The mom and I had some chatty conversations on their calls after finding out she was a registered nurse in the same town my childhood home was in, (photo of the house with 5 of us.)
and she graduated from to the SAME high school I did! Wantagh! (some years apart)..
Yesterday the family called to say they were bringing one more son, so they needed more beds. So I changed their reservation giving them our 2 most popular rooms, with en-suite baths, and more beds. NOTE: When guests are coming we spend hours cleaning the house, doing laundry, making beds, scrubbing tubs, and adding finishing touches of music and fresh flowers.
They were to arrive today around 3pm.
They texted their ETA enroute, till finally at 3:40, my phone rang. The husband said “We’re in the driveway, but my wife saw your for sale sign, and no longer wants to stay’. He had no explanation, and I was frankly, speechless. They cancelled their stay without even getting out of their car. Incredulous I pointed out the business being for sale in no wise impacted service or accommodations, as our stellar reviews testify to.. He said ‘That’s my wife. She sees you’re for sale, and no longer wants to stay. I can’t do anything’. They PAID the bill by Zelle from the driveway and left. (Yes, they did pay their bill.. after all.. at least the lady is a professional,. Scary thought huh?)
I should be happy right? No FOUR guests to care for... NO four mouths to feed,.. (sing that to the tune of the 5th Dimension’s - ONE LESS BELL TO ANSWER..
But I’m sitting here thinking… ‘THAT lady takes care of people? (PM me to find out what Long Island hospital to avoid…)
ALSO THIS WEEK: On Tuesday when businesses opened after the holiday, I took Vlad to a veterinarian in Mattydale NY for a diagnosis → for an enormous hot spot on his back. In 50 years of owning Australian Shepherds, I’d only ever seen ONE hotspot before, (here upstate NY of course) which was the size of a half dollar…
This one is the size of a spread sheet.. 1
I wanted an expert opinion, to make sure I didn’t miss anything. (ultimately I did NOT use the meds they prescribed, but had a chance to research them online, and boy am I glad that I know better than to use pharma products even for my animals).
I arrived at the animal hospital, with my fretting animal and went to the door where a sign was posted - ‘call (315) 455-5915’ to be admitted’. So I dutifully called. (I could see the receptionists behind the glass and they could see me).. But their phone was busy busy busy.. Finally I knocked quietly. Long story short, I was never forgiven..
The receptionist that opened the door greeted me with a caustic declaration of the vet rules about ‘always calling from the car’. NOT - as you might expect - in a polite way, to a client escorting an animal in pain, both of us stressed - no.. that would have been normal. And NOT just once. She saw fit to remind me THREE TIMES during our visit that I had broken their rules..
As I was leaving the $140 - 5 minute appointment, the gal followed me to the door still complaining. To which I replied - 'It might help if you would inform your clients of your rules ahead of time”. The receptionist countered - (continuing her tirade..).. "YOU have been here before!" Yes, we were.. once...2 years ago..
EPISODE THREE THIS WEEK:
After 2 days Vlad didn’t seem to be improving, and the Mattydale visit gave us nothing but a collar (to keep him from licking the wound) that fell right off, so I bit the bullet and took him to the tony Urgent care facility in town. (All the other vets we called that were even taking ‘new clients’, would only schedule us weeks out.. somehow the modern program of promoting sickness with meds and vaccines, and keeping doctors busy - works prodigiously well with animals. So the urgent care shop was our only recourse..)
The (also) young doctor at the $250 urgent care exam - confirmed that we were dealing with a ‘hot spot’., a bacterial infection - a type of ‘dermatitus’ that can result from stress, and/or an area that does not dry out sufficiently after a swim in the (likely bacteria infested) Erie Canal..
To know more meant ‘blood work’ starting at $800..
The visit ended with the requisite list of recommended meds, after which the young doctor asked us wait in the room to receive our bill...
15 minutes passed.. 30… 40… I was on my phone for a while, but it dawned on me at the 1.5 hour mark, that either the bill was enormous, or they forgot I was in there..
I went to the reception desk to find out what the extraordinary wait was about.. It turned out an emergency surgery had come in and .. I was informed.. my doctor would be occupied for about 3 hours before she could get back to me with a med list and bill.. Somehow the 3 receptionists didn't see fit to let me know what was going on. Apparently they expected me to wait for 3 hours till the vet came out of the surgery… without batting an eye.
I RARELY find myself inside a medical establishment.. years go by without needing a diagnosis.. So, I would like to know.. Is this TYPICAL??
I offered to leave my CC card number and let them call me later with the total... but 'NOOO!" Just like Mattydale.. ‘that’s NOT how they do things’. I said, well.. I can't sit here for 2 more hours..” In a huff - one of them went to bother the doctor in surgery and get the bill; expressing her CLEAR discontent at me the whole time I was being checked out.
EPISODE 4 THIS YEAR: This is not 'sound mind' behavior. I could wish these were an isolated experience too, but in February of this year, I went to the ‘Fayetteville Animal Hospital’ with Vlad to find out why he appeared to be in distress2.. I paid for a worm test, and a doctor exam.. Long story short, when the ‘young lady doctor’ (all 3 times a young lady..) determined that he was not ‘UTD’ with vaccines (which means ‘up-to-date.’. a 20th Century label for children and dogs).. and I was not interested in meds.. she asked me with a look of disgust - ‘So why are you here?’ (I kid you not). I answered that I was “looking for a ‘diagnosis’.” At which point her young female assistant STORMED OUT OF THE ROOM, SLAMMING THE DOOR BEHIND HER. (I kid you not). (Obviously their training included warnings about nut-jobs like me who don’t use meds; along with suggestions for an apt response).
Whereupon the doctor - a ‘mature graduate of 8 years of college for a veterinarian degree..’ promptly followed her out the door, cutting me off in mid sentence.. And there we were - Vlad and I - alone again - in a vet cubicle - naturally.. End of appointment. No refunds..
This is a picture of the wall video in the doctor’s office in East Syracuse, where Andre got his cataract surgery done 2 years ago. (He does not ask for prayer, unfortunately, though I’m older than he is, and prayed for my own eyes years ago, and have had no surgeries)..
This is a wine bottle left behind by B&B guests last winter..
Time would fail me to tell of myriad other events..
…Like trying to sell our house in 2020, whereupon the neighborhood drunk, an old man in a wheelchair that we used to bring food to and provide lifts in our car - put a fake $10,000 mechanics lien on our house, claiming he had done contracting work on the house. The County clerk took the scratchy - incompletely and incorrectly filled out document - and recorded the lien! -
(Mr. Wagner never listed what type of work he allegedly did, and never delivered the document to us as required. He only ever gave it to us on Thanksgiving of 2020 while we were delivering food to the solitary man. Had we not brought him the food, we might not have learned about the lien until we were trying to close on a sale.)
It took us SIX months to have the lien removed. Mr. Wagner himself asked the county vacate the lien, but they refused!
We took the house off the market, got the county DA to look at the fraudulent lien, which finally dropped off on April 16th, 2021. Postscript: Mr. Wagner went into an adult rehabilitation center that year, where he subsequently passed away..
Last year, getting ready for the Bible class, our fully insured car that my son was driving, was pulled over on an allegation of no insurance. I drove over, Yet, even after proving full insurance with a live agent, the police officer towed the car anyway (along with the one I drove to the stop in) and arrested me to boot. A judge dismissed the charges against me.. But when I reached out to the DA again, to be reimbursed for the 2 illegimate tows, the DA’s office put the case back on the docket.. (In court I was acquitted of obstructing government administration; The county still refuses to refund me for the tows).
(Ironically, I met a man on the Erie Canal hiking trail (Leonelle Garcia) who suffered a fraudulent arrest (Mistaken identity) and was subjected to the protracted trial of a court case.. The man had moved here from Cuba for ‘civil and civic freedom, and is already leaving the country to escape this sort of tyranny. He let me pray for his sciatic pain, which was (as the Lord showed me) a result of his anger over the whole unhappy episode.)
When all is said and done, the payment for the cancelled B&B stay reimbursed me for the useless veterinarian visits, but the routine ‘buffetting’ has grown very old, and I groan in my spirit to be gone from here, and ‘surrounded with the righteous’, that is, people who have the spirit of ‘love, power, and a SOUND MIND’.. asap.
The Rapture can’t happen too soon.
Why do I go to a doctor? On the rare ocassion that prayer does not immediately arrest something, or the Lord does not give me a full picture of the problem, I go to the ‘medical profession’, for what’s known as a diagnosis. It is my opportunity to learn. The contempt, that I encounter for this practice, just wanting ‘information’, however,is unbelievable.
It is my experience, that if satan can’t get to me, he will trouble my animals. This dating back to the beginning of my Christian walk.
Victoria. I get you. I hear you. I know. I have many of my own including a betrayal from someone i actually thought was one of my closest friends. Its insanity. People acting and being irrational . Selfish and uncaring of others around them . It only confirms to me to go further inward. As if living on an island. Sad to realize that good people are being reduced to this. Seems a friend is just an enemy you have yet to meet / doug
Attacks of the enemy and his underlings, I suppose...yet, the LORD sees all and saw to reimburse you. Congratulations on not losing righteousness! All of these little tests get tiring. In hind sight, however, you're passing them with flying colors. Keep up the good work!
