THE RAPTURE - Part III - AS SEEN in the MIRROR of THE Old Testament RECORDS

Explaining the Rapture is difficult without addressing how the Bible interprets itself. The most significant verse of Scripture on the subject of HOW to understand the Bible’s interpretation of itself, is Isaiah 46:10:

‘Declaring the end from the beginning,

and from ancient times the things that are not yet done,..’

A verse that adds to our understanding of this statement is in Ecclesiastes 1:9

‘What has been will be again,

what has been done will be done again;

there is nothing new under the sun.’

These Scriptures are telling us that everything that ever will be, has been before, in one form or another. How do we see this?

KING DAVID was a template of the Lord Jesus Christ. Did you read Psalm 22? IT is a PSALM OF DAVID. Yet it is the words of our Lord on the cross.

The Apostle Paul speaks of SHADOWS and TEMPLATES and PATTERNS in Hebrews 8, 9 and 10. He is explaining to his brethren the JEWS, why they should RECOGNIZE JESUS as the CHRIST - because of the images of the Christ in the mirror of the Old Testament, that reflected HIM from thousands of years before.

The Bible is an INFINITY MIRROR.

That’s why it has no beginning. In the Beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth. That was the beginning of the heaven and the earth - but not the beginning of God. He has no beginning. To go back in time to find God is to seek into infinity.

The Kingdom of God will have no end. To look to the future in the kingdom is to look into infinity. What these 2 verses are telling us, is that the Bible tells the end of the ages from the beginning of the ages. They do have a beginning and they have an end.’

The end of this age is fast approaching.

But let’s stick to the subject of the Rapture for now.

The Rapture - IF IT IS A TRUE STORY - MUST HAVE AN IMAGE IN THE MIRROR.

It does.

Jesus told us where to look for it. He said, the END of this AGE, would be as the DAYS of NOAH. There, now we know how far back to look. Not to the Garden of Eden - hah.. that’s STILL FUTURE - Paradise on earth is further into the future - past the floods of evil and trouble that are as the Days of Noah, even as the Garden of Eden, ‘Paradise on Earth’ is BEFORE the days of Noah, in the mirror looking backwards… Do you see it?

But everything that is true, has a reflection in the mirror.

IF you have never heard of this before, the Bible as an Infinity Mirror - neither had I. Neither did I read it anywhere. The Lord Jesus Christ himself showed it to me.

It explains EVERYTHING doesn’t it!?

When we realize that everything that ever was, will be again, we are understanding how to see into the future. Those of us who spend most of our time in the Old Testament, are really plumbing the mysteries of the days to come.

Recently a gentleman on Substack was wondering how I could declare that the antichrist was even now growing up in England.. He said ‘There was no England in Old Testament times’. I said, “Yes there was”. - found in the nation of a pattern of who England would be. I told him what Old Testament nation shadowed England.

I can’t go into it now, lest I digress too far, but EVERYTHING that IS on the world stage today, you are able to study in the ‘Book of the beginning of Time’ → the Bible. Which is precisely how I have found out how it will end for the wicked.. but now I’m digressing again…

We don’t have time in this post to plumb the depths of the backwards and forwards glances, but in time, if the Lord tarries.. I will.

The RAPTURE in the Mirror is as important as any reference in the New Testament to its veracity.

The Mirror image of the Rapture is the Ark.

Let’s look at the parallels..

JESUS HIMSELF told us to ‘look at the days of Noah, to understand the Last Days’. He was pinpointing both on the timeline of the ages. Not ALL the way back, and not ALL the way forward!

God told Noah that ‘The end of all flesh is come before me’. ‘The earth is filled with violence’. ‘I will destroy them with the earth.’ Noah was told to build an ark.

Just like the Church epistles teach the saints, how to live till the Lord returns, these instructions were for Noah, as the epistles he was obliged to obey.

God told Noah that He saw him as ‘righteous’ and was going to preserve his life.

The Church has the ‘righteousness of God in Christ in us’. We are righteous in God’s eyes. And we too have been warned of the destruction to come. And are told to ‘work out our salvation with fear and trembling.” As ambassadors for Christ, we have been also given work to do.

Noah was 75 years in building the ark. The salvation plan for Noah did not happen overnight. It required patient obedience to fulfil. Only then, having fulfilled the Word of God, he was saved from destruction, lifted up from the earth - him and his immediate family (For whom no such observation of righteousness was made¹).

We were also not taken up as soon as we were saved.. Most of us will live as much as 75 years, with our patient obedience - securing our future departure in a Rapture.

Remember, Jesus himself said the earth then would be as the earth we find ourselves in now.

But the reflections continue…

There is also Enoch. He walked with God. He was also ‘righteous’. Enoch was 65 years old when he begat Methuselah. Then he lived 300 more years, and God took him up.

Enoch never died. Jesus is the firstborn from the dead because he died. Enoch never died. The Scripture says he was ‘removed’., or ‘carried over’..

‘By faith Enoch was taken up so that he did not see death:

He could not be found, because God had taken him away.

For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.’ Hebrews 11:5

INT: and were carried over to Shechem

This is a mirror of the people who will be Raptured.

Paul said some of us will be dead when Jesus returns for his Church - who the Trumpets will INSTANTLY AWAKEN!

But OTHERS - he said - like Enoch -will still be ALIVE!

Behold, I shew you a mystery;

We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,’ I Corinthians 15:51

That was a SECRET hidden in GOD but REVEALED to the Apostle Paul. No one knew of the idea of a RAPTURE in the Old Testament, or even the Gospels, because the Church of God in CHRIST was itself a mystery!

‘The mystery that was hidden for ages and generations but is now revealed to His saints.

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles

the GLORIOUS RICHES of this MYSTERY,

which is CHRIST IN YOU - the hope of glory.’ Colossians 1:26-27

No, we speak of the mysterious and hidden wisdom of God,

which He destined for our glory before time began.

None of the rulers of this age understood it.

For if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Rather, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:7-10

We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God,

that we may understand what God has freely given us. 1 Corinthians 2:12

He reveals the deep and hidden things;

He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him. Daniel 2:22

Some of us, like Enoch, will never have died at all!

We will be ‘caught up’², (harpagesometha) or as it is also phrased - ‘called upwards’ (ano - klēseōs) while still ALIVE!

You see, The MIRROR had to be there - showing a type of RAPTURE of others - who didn’t go through the TRIBULATION that destroyed the world that then was (NOAH) and were caught up ALIVE into heaven -

Because ANYTHING that WILL BE, Ecclesiastes 1:9 tells us, HAD TO HAVE HAPPENED BEFORE.

THAT my friends, is how you look in the mirror of Eternity to see the Rapture to come.
