His compelling story needs to be retold, because it affirms the spiritual roots of disease- a reality overlooked by medicine. And because there are new readers are on board here who need to hear this.

I’m reposting this story because it affirms the spiritual root cause, and spiritual nature of disease - a subject that is critical to our day and time. Not only considering the devilish nature of the ‘viruses’ and ‘vaccines', but because of the unfathomable scope of disease in the USA, and the unfathomable suffering, for things that might be easily eliminated by the touch of a minister, the power of repentance, or the walk of power in the healing ministry the Lord left to his disciples.

Steve’s story will give you a vitally needed perspective into the Biblical foundation of all healing, that was introduced to the world by the man ‘Jesus Christ’ of Nazareth.

Here’s Steven’s story:

STEPHEN

In 2021 a man came to my house as a B&B guest.

He was accompanied by his wife and 3 children. In short order I learned he’d been suffering from Lyme Disease for 15 years. How did this subject come up? As I recall, he had trouble climbing the stairs here.

Ironically, I had no idea just HOW bad off Steve was, until after he was delivered and his wife wrote me the stunning testimony that you’re about to read.

How was he delivered?

On their first visit, I briefly taught the family about deliverance, specifying that one key would be - to discover, with the Lord’s help if necessary - where the open door was. That open door was the reason for Lyme Disease taking root. The disease-carrying-tick was an agent, but not the cause. Note the difference. Find the door, close it, and often a sickness will go away of its own accord. BTW - This is called ‘repentance’.

Eventually, Stephen and his wife, Gina, returned to my home for a few days’ stay. They thought I was going to minister healing to Stephen. I did too. The Lord had other ideas.

SURE I LOVE WHEN I GET TO LAY HANDS ON PEOPLE AND SEE A MIRACLE. Don’t we all? There were times I did just that.. But this time would be different., and so much better!

The Lord had me give them a Bible class. Not my own class either - It’s a Bible class that I myself first took in 1978, in which I met the man - Jesus Christ - on the pages of the ‘Book’ , got born again, and my walk of power began at once. From that point, I’ve conducted the class for others about 20 times.¹

Stephen and his Gina took the class over the course of 2 visits. When they graduated, they thought I would lay my hands on Stephen and deliver him of Lyme Disease. AGAIN the Lord had other ideas. He told me to ‘TELL STEVE TO HEAL HIMSELF’. So I did. I sent them upstairs to their room, and I went to bed.

I only found out in the morning, that they went to bed very upset. Most disappointed.

AND.. I only found out in the morning, that, during the night - Steve delivered himself of the demon of Lyme Disease - plus a few others that were there as well. HAH!

HOW’s THAT!?

After everything he’d learned in the 36 hour long class over a 5 day period.. Steve had the tools. He was as the Church Epistle puts it - ‘ARTIOS’ - i.e.. FULLY EQUIPPED and LOADED with enablements - And that same night - he used them.

GINA’S TURN

“Learning to Walk in the Abundant Life July 5, 2021:

This is the testimony of Steve Laffin as we drive home after 2.5 intensive days of study while the experience is fresh in our minds - about living the abundant life as promised in Scripture!

He came to this weekend with the expectation that (Victoria) would pray for Steve, and deliver him from the sickness and disease that has plagued him.

Victoria later admitted that was her original plan, but she informed us that Holy Spirit told her to share this Bible teaching series with us instead. They are same teachings she received in 1978 that delivered her from possession and oppression and led her to the LORD in a profound way!

Just some back-story:

Steve was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2006..this was the beginning of his decline, although it took several years for satan to really take him down. We spent many thousands of dollars on alternative medical treatments after the original course of traditional medicine had no lasting effect.

He muddled through until 2013 he made a decision that he needed to make a change and sell our plumbing business and take a job with a large ministry doing their HVAC work. He thought this would take the pressure off his having to work so hard physically.

Then in 2016 we moved again, he was just running, trying to figure out the key. We never really entertained the thought that his physical ailments had a spiritual root. This was not something we were taught.

There was a time we believed in divine healing but never saw anything so when other issues happened in the church we attended we threw out the baby with the bathwater, in a sense. At this time we were attending a church that would say God is ABLE to heal but doesn’t always choose to.

At this time Steve was compensating for his physical condition (very painful knees, gut issues, legs “locking up”, stumbling/staggering occasionally) with expensive alternative medicines, drastic diet changes, etc.

Then comes 2020!! Every one of us probably knows someone that went off the deep end in 2020. The stress of all that the “plandemic” brought on just pushed him over the edge.

• He could no longer regulate his body temperature (hat, coat inside. Constantly freezing),

• Thoughts of suicide,

• convinced he had a heart condition and wanted to go to ER nearly weekly.

• He lost about 40 lbs. because he was constantly nauseous.

• Sleep either eluded him or over took him.

• He was convinced he had cancer or some other awful sickness.

• He wanted to die.

I knew in my heart he was fine. I take no credit for this knowledge, it was the mercy of God. Had I bought into these feelings I honestly believe Steve would be at best in a wheel chair or at worst dead today.

So, back to July, 5, 2020: With Victoria, we sat for MANY hours listening and learning about how to properly interpret Scripture.

Arriving Saturday 7/3/2021 early afternoon we watched from 2:30-10:30 pm with 2 short breaks. That alone is miraculous for Steve…sitting has been very difficult.

He was also angry that she was not praying for his deliverance.

He had a horrible night’s sleep and great difficulty even falling to sleep.

At one point he had the feeling we had to leave that house. He work up to a nightmare about hell being not so bad!

Sunday we started watching by 8:45am, took a long lunch break (1.5 hours) where he took a nap. Then watched until 6:30, had dinner then 7:30-10pm. We were getting delirious at this point with fatigue and information overload.

By 10pm that last night, we finished those segments and were going to go to bed, but first we expected that Victoria was going to minister healing to Steve.

Victoria sat down and spoke with Stephen. She explained he has had the authority in him (after confirming he is saved), since accepting the LORD, to deliver himself.

She prophesied he is to have a healing ministry (something that has been on his heart since 1990’s but he was scared away from every praying for healing again after he prayed for a young man in a wheelchair who eventually passed away).

She explained Jesus wants him to deliver himself - using the authority given to him in the Holy Spirit.

We went to bed. Steve was very angry.

He realized if any healing was going to happen he would have to do it! He started doing just that. He started casting demons in Jesus’ name.

He did sense some change and deliverance of some but was so focused on needing sleep he went to bed. (But not before praying for me to be delivered of a cough that had been lingering for weeks; I did not cough again that night!)

We prayed together thanking God for all He had shown us, for good sleep and for the kids. We went to sleep.

I, Gina, stayed asleep the entire night. Steve woke up between 2 or 3 am with extreme leg pain. He knew it was a spiritual attack and needed to rebuke it but didn’t want to wake me up. When he tried to stand up he realized his right ankle was dislocated, his foot was turned completely in.

He hobbled into the bathroom and started rebuking! He said, “I rebuke any curses placed on me, in the name of Jesus”, (by the customer he was working for at the time he originally injured that ankle 13 years prior to this night, he apparently had a sense she was against him…

He put his foot down and instantly his ankle was straight and all the pain there left and no damage to muscles or soreness!

This greatly encouraged him, he said “It’s ON!” He began casting demon after demon saying: “You have no authority over me demon of (stomach pain, left side, leg weakness, chest pain, left rib pain…..”) on and on; “I cast you out in the name of Jesus.” He prayed against anything _____ (a therapist he was seeing that had been a Riki witch).

Steve sensed something like electricity going through his fingers and toes. He struggled with his left side, it would not leave him.

So he grabbed his left finger tips with is right hand and pulled away with is right hand. He could feel something like strings starting from his left toes all the way up his left side and out of his fingers!

He felt like was not winning the battle so he called on the angels commanding them to help him. He sensed about 6 beings (angels) pulling demonic forces (felt like strings) from his left side.

(as I type this I’m reminded how I felt the first time he shared this with me…if I didn’t know this man, how level headed and smart he is…I would have never believed this account!)

He then went back to bed and slept until 6:30.

I was downstairs already, sitting on the couch reading. I heard someone come down the stairs and assumed I’d look up to see Nick, Victoria’s 21 yr old son, bounding down the stairs but no….it was my husband!!!

I can’t quite explain what that meant to me. When I tell you how slowly and painfully Steve would walk up or down stairs…one hard step at a time, in the middle of the day, let alone first thing in the morning. This was miraculous!

And, I had no idea what had happened to him during the night.

After sharing his testimony Victoria said it occurred to her that Jesus would not open the door to a healing ministry until He “cleaned his house”. 

Steve said he had had that same thought during the weekend…second witness!

Steve continued to struggle with many lying symptoms but he had at least realized the authority he had available to him in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. There was still a great deal of work to be done.

We learned more about the spirit world. Victoria gave us many CDs of Thurman Scrivner and they were very helpful. That summer was slow going but he was improving. Still focused on himself, not Jesus.

We returned to Victoria’s in September of 2021 to complete the Abundant Life teaching. The information was extraordinary.

We learned so much. Steve was a much different person on that trip. We were able to walk around the neighborhood, enjoy the beautiful back yard, enjoy fellowship! As the months went on the Lord placed people in our lives that steered us toward divine healing and spiritual warfare. Some more effective than others.

Steve continued to get stronger and stronger physically and, more importantly, spiritually every week. His Biblical knowledge and understanding grew dramatically.

We have come to understand the importance of our prayer language (speaking in tongues, through the baptism of the Holy Spirit) and practice it often!

As we learn more and more about all that is available to us though the Holy Spirit we both are becoming bolder in our walk as spirit filled believers. After all God has not given us a spirit of fear (timidity) but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind (2 Tim 1:7)!

We are currently (January 2023) embarking on a greater understanding of the Mark 16:17-18 commandment that Jesus gave to all those who believe. These are strong words that the church at large, at least here in the US, seems to have left out of their teaching. We as a culture have been focusing on our carnal (5 senses) knowledge and ignoring the fact that we are spiritual beings and therefore ignoring where the majority of our life’s battles take place….namely in the spiritual realm. 

Remember…Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10)”

1 I admonished the couple to leave the church they’d been elders in for the last 15 years. Friend, if you’re in a church that does not believe in, or practice healing as the Lord showed us, you’re wasting your time with the little remaining on earth for us all. Go somewhere that is walking in the full ministry Jesus taught us. To their credit, this couple did just that.

1. I still have a copy of on VHS tapes of the 36 hour Bible class, filmed in 1968, called POWER FOR ABUNDANT LIVING. (AKA - PFAL) The PFAL Class is probably what launched the Christian revival of the 1970s. It’s that good.

PFAL singlehandedly launched ministries in probably every country on earth, and ever state in the Union. It started my ministry - and my walk of power began at once.

Interestingly, the man who taught the class - Dr. Victor Paul Weirweille, represents the sad stories of a minister brought down by pride. Dr. Wierweille passed away in 1985, but his singular class lived on - and has never changed. The Bible class this minister created, has no personality - no pride - and is not subject to temptation. The class - on tape - is the same, yesterday and today. They malign the man. But the class that he prepared about HOW to understand the Bible, and HOW to receive the gift of Holy Spirit, and HOW to receive the Baptism of the Spirit and HOW to WALK in the POWER contained therein, has never been paralleled. Ever, at any time. It stands alone.

I know God honors the rich saturation of Bible teaching in this class, because of the miracles I have seen while conducting it for others.
