One of the most Powerful, Emotional and Spiritual movies I have ever seen. I am a 60 year old man, not given to tears and yet the Holy Spirit touched my heart multiple times during this movie and brought me to tears. One thing I learned is that a true Christian is full of the Holy Spirit of God. This amazing Man of God was a blessing to so many and retained his faith no matter the persecution. As he said, and one of the best statements I've heard 'Woe to me if my faith depends on men'. May the director, producer and actors be blessed. Thank you for such a wonderful Faith Affirming experience.

I couldn't agree more about these TV (Hucksters) Evangelists. However I might include Norvel Hayes and some of his cohorts as being at the forefront of it all. I agree with them about using the words of God for all purposes, but leave it at that.

I watched a movie on amazon (I know you cancelled you prime) last night called the Man of God who stayed true to the Lord Jesus Christ even within the corrupt religions. I wanted to add a portion from a scene where a man was telling him the people of Egypt will demand he become the Patriarch, and he says “haven’t you realized by now it doesn’t matter what the people want?”

Synopsis

MAN OF GOD brings to life the incredible true story of Saint Nektarios of Aegina, Greece. A priest of the common people, his humility annoyed the prideful orthodox clergy of the day. In contrast to his religious “superiors” – the bishops and patriarchs mesmerised by worldly honours and power – Nektarios cared for the poor; taught peasant girls to read and write; inspired by example young men to enter the priesthood; and wrote books and delivered sermons that uplifted nations of believers. In this exquisitely made film, relive St. Nektarios’ inspiring devotion and perseverance as, despite the efforts of the religious establishment to discredit him and dismantle his good works over decades, he embraced humility and inspired thousands to become one of Greece’s most renowned saints.
