My words will be few.. I’m reflecting on the tumultuous year that just raced by..

First of all, I’m very thankful tonight, for the friends I made in 2024 right here as a result of Substack. You know who you are. Thank you for your new friendship. It means a lot to me. There are a lot of moral, compassionate, courageous people out there - that platforms like this can enable to find each other. (yeah.. me too.. I’m moral compassionate and courageous. Birds of a feather - Eh?)

I especially wish to thank those of you who wrote notes and messages to me this year, thanking me for what I have written, and how it has impacted you. That means more to me than I can express.

I’m thankful for the graces heaven bestowed upon me and my little family in 2024. And in 2023, and 2022, and 2021, and 2020.. It’s been a bumpy ride since 2020, and even before.. but His grace has never once failed. Which is great because the bumps are sure to get bumpier going forward. That’s ok too though, the harder the bumps the greater the grace. Eh? Bank on it.

2024 was a horrible year for too many people on earth - and the Church played dead. For Christianity, it’s a year that will live in spiritual infamy.

2025 is proving already to be a year that will test the mettle and the faith of the most stalwart of men. For the world it’s one year closer to armageddon. For the Church of the faithful, chosen, and called¹ it is one year closer to having the book close on our ‘work’ for the master, and our ‘call up on high’.

(Do you doubt there will be a calling up on high (otherwise known colloquially as the Rapture? I’m here to say, I know there will be. When? I don’t know. But seeing as antichrist will rise up sometime in 2048, then it has to be within the next 23 years, because the faithful of the Church of God in Christ Jesus is not in the records of his presence on earth.)

Moving forward, how earnest our focus needs to be, to the prayer of the Psalmist -

‘Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom’. Psalm 90:12

There are another 1,000 admonitions from Scripture that could be added - but I think Psalm 90:12 says enough.
