HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SPIRITUAL HEARING - PART III - This time 2 years ago, an evil man wanted to steal my house, but the Lord showed me what to do..
‘My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.’
Proverbs 2: 2-8
I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. (Psalm 12:5)

Please keep up the wonderful prayers. The man who visited to buy our house is evil, VIZ...shortly after he left the premises, 2 water heaters, 1 sink disposal unit, and my office printer died1!.. (one of our 2 furnaces tried to quit yesterday too, but I asked that the angels repair it - and they did!)2
He is also trying to drive us to lose our house by selling it to him cheap, or by a lawsuit to drive us to foreclosure. I would post his several evil emails, but we are still in discussions with 3 lawyers.
On this day 2 years ago (Facebook)
I signed a contract to sell my house, under duress. Within the allotted time frame, we cancelled. The buyer, knowing what a good deal was slipping from his fingers began a litany of attacks, that a lawyer I spoke with called a 'Negotiation tactic' used by people to scare someone into selling their property to them cheap..
I'm going to keep a log of this journey, because the Lord has showed me the end of the thing. This man's devious mischief will not prosper; and he will come to ruin - as is written in Psalm 64:8 - ‘by the words of his own mouth.’
Here is one of his sarcastic threatening letters to me:

Hi Victoria,
Before signing off for the night I wanted to leave you with a few additional thoughts for you to consider. Tomorrow morning I will instruct my attorney to proceed with filing the suit against you and your property at 126 E Genesee Street.
Apart from your not being able to sell your house while the lawsuit pends, I have in mind several damages that I will attempt to seek.
I think it is important for you to carefully consider these potential damages before deciding that you would like to continue ignoring your responsibility for the agreement that you put in writing, sent to me, and later signed once it was incorporated into a purchase contract. (we cancelled it on time and for good reason)
These damages will be sought whether I ever take possession of the house or not and they will include, but are not limited to, the following:
The cost of an injunction preventing the sale of 126 E Genesee to any other party
Any appreciation in equity between the agreed upon $xxxk sales price and your eventual sales price
Any legal and other fees associated with the pursuit of remedying this case
Our travel, meals, lodging, and rental car expenses incurred during our trip to Fayetteville between January 19-22 to see the house
The cost of the inspection and any other related fees
Further, I would like for you to consider, as my attorney communicated to yours earlier today, that we made a generous good faith offer to you of $xxk over the weekend which you rejected. If I do not need to litigate this matter, I may still consider an addendum to our contract that allows you to get more than $xxk in this sale (there would be some conditions). However, if I have to follow through with filing a lawsuit against you, you will be held to the original $xxk amount less the expenses mentioned above, without any possibility of increasing that amount to the aforementioned offer of $xxk.
You are correct in your assumption that we value the home and the work you have done in it, but that does not mean that we will allow you to back out of our agreements. I applaud you for testing my limits, but you have now found them and managed to make us angry enough to sue you in the process.
The way I see it, you have until early tomorrow morning to make the wise decision to keep this matter out of court and follow through with our agreement.
Alternatively, your ability to sell the house can be prevented by pending litigation during the next 1-2 years during which time you might have to deal with a tax foreclosure (which I will be watching for) and further roof and furnace problems, all while the legal damages mount. It is entirely your choice at this point and, as God as your witness or otherwise, you should know that I am at least as determined as you are, but likely moreso.
Also, God loves all of us -- not just you.
I understand that you are a night owl. That is a good thing as you have a lot to consider this evening before I dial my attorney when his office opens tomorrow.
I wish you the best of luck, you'll need it.
Sincerely,
M.C.
Whenever I’m in a pickle, instead of losing sleep, (legal injunctions on your house could do that) →I reach out to the Lord. I mean, I might have lost sleep, cried, panicked.. spent a fortune on an attorney to protect me, but I did none of those things. I was not ruffled. My heavenly Father does not take kindly to people attacking His kids. (What father would?) → As is my habit, I asked Jesus what to do.
The Lord not only answers without fail, he even shows me where to go to get my answer. In this case, I was moved to pick up the Bible and taken directly to Psalm 64. And to verse ‘8’. Listen to it:
‘So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.’
Watch how amazingly accurate that verse was.
The Lord then showed me to send all Mr. Cassat’s threatening letters to my attorney, who forwarded them to Cassat’s own attorney.
That’s all it took.
His attorney read the letters and refused to represent him in the viscious assault he was planning.
Cassat’s OWN WORDS ‘fell upon him’, and his legal representation - ‘fled away’.
That was the last I heard from the man. I still have my house. I recently closed on a loan that paid off my mortgage, the tax arrears, and put a new roof. My house is perfect. See?..
That was not the first time I almost lost a house. In Virginia it happened twice. Each time the Lord showed me what to do. I kept my house through the 2008 - 2010 real estate fallout, when people I knew who had spouses and families lost theirs.
There is no value you can place on the ability to hear from heaven. It’s called ‘wisdom’ and it’s worth more than rubies or gold. Proverbs 3:14.
Though the rest of Proverbs chapter 2 is also applicable and marvelous:
10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
21 BUT the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.’
Amen.
We wound up having to buy 2 new water heaters, a new sink disposal unit, and a new printer, within a week of his visit!
And it’s STILL working! (we have 2 furnaces.. one is brand new - we installed it when we moved in - the other is .. 30 - 40 years old. After Cassatt left, it quit. After careful prayer, it came on again and has been working steadily to this day. I’m in the room where it’s right now keeping me warm!
Amazing testimony of God’s power and faithfulness.thank you for sharing.
