ENOCH'S 'RAPTURE' - WAS A PATTERN - THE SCRIPTURES are CLEAR CONCERNING THE EVENT TO COME - ONLY THE TIMING IS UP IN THE AIR - (no pun intended)
THE SCRIPTURES PROVE THAT THE ‘RAPTURE’ IS A TRUE EVENT BOUND TO HAPPEN - SOONER OR LATER.
As Enoch was raptured - in the sense of the word that he was taken alive into heaven - so also was Elijah, and so was Jesus Christ.
These events serve as a ‘pattern’ of a much debated event that cannot be erased from the Bible - colloquially called the ‘Rapture’.
HOW TO BIBLICALLY INTERPRET THE FUTURE BY THE PAST
The Bible is the book of the Future. It declares that there is nothing that will ‘ever be’, except that it has ‘been before’..
‘The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be;
and that which is done is that which shall be done:
and there is no new thing under the sun.’ Ecclesiastes 1:9
THIS is why the verse (Ecclesiastes 1:9) is in the Bible.
So that we understand that the past is prologue.
If something is in the Old Testament BEFORE the pivot point - (JESUS CHRIST) then it portends the future. As in- ‘that which has been, shall (ABSOLUTLY) be again..’
And God’s Holy Book SAYS it will tell you about it -
‘Declaring the end from the beginning,
and from ancient times the things that are not yet done,
saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure’ Isaiah 46:10
‘Declaring the end from the beginning’,
‘from ancient times things that are not yet done’,
‘Not yet done - meaning they WILL BE DONE - and the fact of the matter is found at some earlier point of the Book.
THE BIBLE IS A MIRROR
To know the future - we study the 'Biblical patterns’ of the past.
The Biblical past is like a mirror into the future. Just as the ‘rear view mirror’ shows you where you have been- the further away it is, the further backin time it is. Then, the further you see in the Biblical past - the further into the Future you are seeing.
Jesus Christ gave us a clear example of this in describing the ‘Last Days’ as the ‘Days of Noah’.
Noah was in the VERY BEGINNING of time - before Abraham, before Moses, when the earth was still all one language and one people.
The LAST DAYS are the very end of time - and there is coming a day when we will again be of ‘one language’ and all ‘one people’.
Noah’s ‘flood’ happened at a time when the world was given wholly over to evil, and God was not ‘foremost in the minds of men’. We are seeing this all over again. Noah’s day was a ‘pattern’ of the end of time - now.
In fact, one way we KNOW we are in the ‘END of the LAST DAYS’ is by examining just how closely we mirror the Days of Noah.
Thus: A pattern is a solidly Biblical way of discerning some future thing that is going to happen.
HEBREWS 8 & 9
In Hebrews 8 & 9, Paul talks about ‘patterns’ and ‘templates’ and ‘examples’ and ‘figures’ calling them ‘shadows of the true’.
We see that God has used templates throughout all of time. Why? So that His people would be able to EXPECT a future event - and RECOGNIZE it when it happens.
The birth of Jesus Christ was just such an event!
Look at ALL the patterns given for just ONE MAN ! - He was the ‘one among a thousand’, the ‘star out of Jacob’, the ‘tender plant of Isaiah 53’, ‘the stronghold in trouble’ of Nahum 1, and finally - The ‘passover lamb’ !
Here is a tremendous selection of the former patterns of the king Jesus Christ - that came, and that will ‘come again’. The patterns are sprinkled throughout Scripture (as recounted in the famous poem - ‘The Red Thread’) (I have been unable to find a link to the tremendous poem, but I will post one when I do)
HE IS:
Genesis 3:15 – The Promised Seed
Exodus 12:5 – The Passover Lamb
Leviticus 21:10 – The High Priest
Numbers 24:17 – The Star to Rise
Deuteronomy 6:5 – The Two Laws
Joshua 5:15 – The Captain of the Lord of Hosts
Judges 13:18 – The Covenant Angel
Ruth 4:14 – The Kinsman Redeemer
2 Samuel 7:12 – The Offspring of David
1 Kings 7:50b – The Greater than the Temple
2 Chronicles 13:5 – The King’s Son
Ezra 1:3 – The Rebuilder
Nehemiah 2:5 – The Rebuilder
Esther 4:14, 16 – The Savior
Job 9:33 – The Daysman
Psalms 119:54 – The Song
Proverbs 2:6 – The Wisdom
Ecclesiastes 7:28 – The One Among a Thousand
This is not even halfway through the list!
There were SO Many patterns of Jesus, more than ANY other prophesied person, place or thing - ever in all of the history of man; Yet he came to his own, and they failed to recognize him - for much the same reason that men today STILL don’t know how to tell the future - because they have failed to learn how the Bible teaches us the future from the past.
TELLING THE FUTURE - OF THE USA - BY THE TEMPLATE OF THE PAST -
In another example, the United States is the last evil empire to rise on earth - being called the ‘hindermost of the nations, in Jeremiah 50:12 (where her destruction is referred to and her ‘mother’ (England) is shown to be in shock)
Which is why our Biblical moniker is the same as the FIRST evil empire to rise upon earth - BABYLON.2
That which is furthest back in the mirror - is also the furthest in the future - as mirrors work.
‘..your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed:
behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.’ Jeremiah 50: 12
The ‘Rapture’ has been ‘patterned’ in Biblical history. So that we can recognize its validity, because a ‘Rapture’ has HAPPENED 3 times before in the history of man.
What we are seeing is that when a Bible researcher wants to see the future clearly - the Bible enjoins him to ‘examine the past’.
The Rapture is a controversial subject among Christians.
Though, that’s because it’s gotten a bad rap (sorry :>} ), because of how so many preachers and their followers see it as an escape hatch from all trouble and persecution, not to mention our doing the work of an evangelist. It is NONE of these things.
We are here to fulfil our ministry! Not ‘hunker down and wait to leave’.
‘But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions,
do the work of an evangelist,
fulfill thy ministry.’ II Timothy 4:5
It says - ‘Do the work of an evangelist’
‘fulfill thy ministry.’
Just as importantly, it does not say - ‘Sit tight and get ready to leave’.
Neither are we guaranteed a rose garden bereft of trial as a follower of the Lord. Consider the following -
‘If we suffer, we shall also reign with him.’ II Timothy 2:12
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. John 15:18
Yea, and all who will live a godly life in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. II Timothy 3:12
Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Psalm 34:19
The Scriptures are unambiguous concerning a type of ‘Rapture’ of the righteous. Though Psalms 34:19 is especially exciting when you see it from the perspective of the Rapture. While we live as ‘strangers’ in this world, and suffer continual persecution - we have this hope in ourselves that we are to be ‘delivered out of the afflictions’.
Our deliverance from afflication comes - One by one, yes, and then ULTIMATELY when we leave this place and meet the Lord in the air - sometime before HE opens the seals - which HE alone can do, and HE is not going to pour out his wrath - on the Church that HE loves (Ephesians 5:25) - that he gave his life for.
TIMING
While there are no signs assigned to the timing of the Rapture, we rest assured that it will take place before the opening of the seals and the commencement of the ‘wrath of the Lamb’ associated with those seals. A full assurance is given to us in 2 witnesses - Romans 5:9 - and I Thessalonians 1:10 - both saying essentially the same thing):
‘Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be SAVED from [the] WRATH through him.’ Romans 5:9
‘For God has NOT appointed us to suffer WRATH, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ’. I Thessalonians 5:9
Friend, look at the context of I Thessalonians 5:9-11 -
…For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath,
but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him.
Therefore encourage and build one another up,.…
God appointed us to salvation - not to wrath..
The Rapture is proven also in the context of Romans 5: 8 - 10 - VIZ:
‘But God PROVES HIS LOVE for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him!
For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son,
HOW MUCH MORE - having been reconciled, shall we be SAVED through His life!…’
DO YOU SEE IT?
GOD IS SAYING - ‘IF I LOVED YOU WHEN WE WERE ENEMIES, AND HAD MY SON TO DIE FOR YOU,
HOW MUCH MORE - NOW THAT YOU ARE MY SONS, RECONCILED TO ME - SHALL I SAVE YOU FROM THE WRATH THAT THE REST OF THE WORLD WILL GO THROUGH?!’
If you are a Bible researcher - you may be aware that the most EMPHATIC of expressions in Scripture are ‘Figures of Speech’ - and the most EMPHATIC of Figures of Speech in the Bible - is the ‘Question’.
The ‘Question’ - As in Genesis 3:22,
‘And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, WHAT IF.. he puts forth his hand, and takes also of the tree of life, and eats, and lives for ever…’
The QUESTION goes unanswered because the ANSWER IS EITHER TOO TERRIBLE TO MENTION - OR TOO OBVIOUS TO TELL.
In Romans 5, the Lord God asks us - IF I would send my son to die for you, while you were WORTHY of death - how much more will I save you from the Wrath to come, since now you are my beloved sons…?
No answer is needed.
for a more detailed explanation of how to read the ‘future’ by the Biblical Past - read the chapter on ‘Mirrors in the Bible’ in The TYRANNY of MASKS - Lambs to the Slaughter (2020) by Victoria Jean Christine Bingham
That the United States is ‘Babylon’ of Shinar - as it was under Nimrod - the worlds first evil ruler and the inventor of war - so is the USA an insatiable maker of wars - and is set to be destroyed as was the 1st Babylon - to where the land will be rendered ‘uninhabitable’. This principle is seen in the rest of the nations - the list of which I plan eventually to post - but just as Babylon is not Iraq, neither is Tyre in Israel, nor Assyria in Syria. As you will see.
Excellence! Such depth of perception and spirituality. I especially love the Bible Scripture references, laid out in perfect order and detail. I need to muse about this and ponder the intricacies.
Thank you for SHARPENING MY SWORD 🗡️!
