As things heat up we need to know how to get to Truth. The Lord always leads in Truth those who will hear Him.
This is a film about the American Christian Zionist movement. It tells the story of the Christian /Zionism fad which is both pervasive and unbiblical, and will inevitably lead millions of professing Christians to perdition.
The amazing ignorance of so many millions of Christians is illustrated by the opening scene of the video, in which a false teacher suggests that Christ called us to be armed and dangerous.
HOW DO SO MANY GET FOOLED?
Have you ever wondered why there will be Christians around at all when the man of perdition (‘antichrist’) begins to destroy people?
Have you wondered where he gets the authority to kill Christians - in contrast to Luke 10:19, where Jesus gave us authority over him?
‘Behold, I give you the power to tread on serpents and scorpions,
and over ALL the power of the enemy,..’
Jesus didn’t just authorize us, but he added a tremendous promise that cannot possibly be misunderstood?,..
‘…and NOTHING shall by any means harm you.’
Well then the Church can’t be around when the man of sin is here, or Jesus lied. For one thing, we have authority over him, for another - he can’t hurt us.
Where do the misunderstandings come from?
Well, this video offers a perspective of where things go awry.
At the start of the video, there are men sitting in a school room listening to this false teacher and sucking it all up. Though they are no different than..
…the people sitting in this church (below) listening to this false teacher.
In the room above, no one has a Bible.
In the room below, how are you supposed to read one?
PROBLEM NUMERO UNO: THEY DON’T READ THE BOOK:
In both examples above - either the men who think Jesus wants us to kill people, and the congregation that believes John Hagee that Israel has a ‘right to kill people’ over land, the root cause remains the same - They don’t know the Word of God.
Friend, God blessed me in my youth by leading me to a Bible Research ministry. I have sat in front of innumerable ‘teachers’ a thousand times, and without fail, everyone in the room had a Bible, and was following along in it, even as the teacher would say ‘Turn with me to Numbers chapter..” and so on. We never took HIS/HER word for anything, Because ALL of us were taught to ‘check the Scriptures to see if these things were so’.
#1 - THEY DON’T KNOW WHO HE’S TALKING TO:
There are Christians who don’t understand Jesus’ teachings, for failing to distinguish ‘who he is speaking to’.
The Bible distinguishes between people. The subsets are:
Jews
Gentiles
The Church of God
The Multitudes
The Disciples
The Apostles
The Pharisees
The Money Changers
In each case, Jesus TALKED to people differently, TREATED people differently, and distinguished between them.
In Luke 10:19, Jesus was talking to his disciples - a relatively small group of people. (about 120)
He was not talking to the tens of thousands that milled around him called ‘the multitudes’, He did NOT assign power to the multitudes. Which would explain why they think they need weapons.
The ‘Christian’ multitudes are not disciples.
The ‘Christian’ multitudes are NOT going to win the ‘Prize’ Paul earnestly sought, of the ‘Calling up on High’ of Philippians 3:14. That prize belongs to the called, chosen, and ‘faithful’, of Revelation 17:14. In other words, to disciples.
The ‘Christian’ multitudes will still be here when the man of sin is ruling over the nations with the God rejecting ‘kings’ of earth (of Psalm 2) kow towing to his demands.
The ‘Christian’ multitudes will be given the choice with the rest of the world - to take the mark or be executed.
The ‘Christian’ multitudes will be on earth when the Wrath of the Lamb is unleashed, that the Church of God in Christ is ‘saved from’. (Romans 5;9, and I Thessalonians 5:9)
False Gospels create False Christians.
These ‘false Christians’ are the reason why Chuck Baldwin and other well meaning ministers preach there is no ‘Rapture’. They can’t figure out how Christians will be martyred because they have failed to distinguish between a pew filler, and a baptized in the holy spirit -obedient - ‘Disciple’ of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Multitudes today are the same as the multitudes in Jesus’ day - I.e.. full of unbelief and ignorance. They didn’t know the Word then - They don’t know it now.
There is no new thing under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9) and..
‘The END is told from the beginning’. (Isaiah 46:10)
‘It shall be as the days of Noah’. (Matthew 24:37-39)
THESE wonderful verses teach us how to understand the Bible. They mean that anything that ‘is to be’ - already ‘was’ in ‘template’ form. Which is why God EXPECTED his people to recognize JESUS. He was patterned by many men that came before.. David, Joseph, Joshua, Moses..
What were Noah’s days like? That’s when men were not paying attention, and consequently a mere REMNANT was saved from the catastrophic destruction that came upon the earth.
The proportions will remain the same for the ‘Christian’ multitudes today.
How many of them have the ‘secrets of the Kingdom’ as disciples do?
How many of them think the ‘sword’ being borne in Israel is approved of by Jesus?
How many of them obeyed his commandment in Acts 1:4? How many of them even know of it? How many of them sit weekly in churches that still teach John’s baptism?
These are the multitudes of today:
Now, take a look at the ‘teacher’ in this video. What how intently his students listen and shake their heads in agreement..
He misquotes the Scriptures and is perfect example of how someone like John Hagee can take verses of Scripture, and change them, or pervert them, until huge crowds are convinced of something that has no basis in truth whatsoever.
People believe charismatic influencers for one reason alone - They don’t know how to read the Bible. They’re not Baptized in holy spirit, being ‘led in all truth’. (John 16:13)
They don’t study the Scriptures, nor are they encouraged to do so by their ‘teachers’, except according to some perverse interpretation that they’re coached to believe.
Like this fellow who is pretending to tell his audience what the Bible says, but notice how, nobody in the room has a Bible.. That I can see anyway.. Can you see one?
So when the ‘teacher’ ‘adds a word’ and ‘subtracts a word’, completely changing what Jesus said, nobody calls him on it.
Who else do we know that did that? Yes. satan. Everything the serpent said to Eve, was a twisting of Scripture. That makes it possible for this guy to build a concept, lie upon lie, until he has a room full of misguided and potentially dangerous followers.
Finally, the man comes right out and says : “Jesus called us to be 'warriors’.
DID JESUS SAY THAT?
In my old ministry, if we heard someone make a claim from the Scriptures, we’d just hand him a Bible and say: “Chapter & Verse please?”
There is no place where Jesus calls his disciples to be ‘warriors’. NOT ONE.
Then the guy slathers more mortar on the lie, claiming the Lord said
“I didn’t come to bring peace. I came to bring WAR”.
That’s another total lie. It’s a bastardization of Matthew 10:34 that says:
‘Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth;
I have not come to bring peace, but a SWORD.’
What is the SWORD he gave us?
The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. (Ephesians 6:17)
The WORD is - and always has been our weapon. VIZ:
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, (physical) but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.’ II Corinthians 10:4
When Jesus was confronted by the devil himself.. did he Fence with him? Or did he say, ‘IT IS WRITTEN”.. ?
When a man says something - his meaning may be misconstrued. Once upon a time the disciples misunderstood Jesus talking about ‘leven’, thinking he meant bread..
Then he charged them, saying,
"Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod." 16
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "It is because we have no bread."
Mark 8:14-16
But - ACTIONS speak LOUDER than WORDS.
Even though Jesus told them to sell something and buy a sword’, somehow it didn’t confuse his disciples so that in the new Church they banded together and became ‘warriors’. Because they had also observed him..
For example: At Jesus’ arrest, when Peter lashed out with a swords, did Christ commend him for obedience? No he did not. Instead he healed the wounded man!
I’ll grant that the Scriptures are not clear concerning Luke 22:51
Half of the translations say he said “STOP” or ‘NO MORE OF THIS”..
Another half say he said ‘‘Leave it alone’, or ‘Allow this’.
Which admittedly is confusing. Even the Greek is not clear. Though I would tend to agree with this pulpit comment:
‘Suffer ye thus far.’ The exact meaning of these words has been much debated. They probably were addressed to the company of armed men, and contained a plea for the mistaken zeal of his disciple Peter. → "Excuse this resistance."
Finally it’s the Lord’s actions that speak volumes.. He HEALED the wounded man.
SCRIPTURE BUILDUP
What we do when a record is unclear?.. We check similar records that discuss the same event. This is called in research - ‘Scripture buildup’.
We find another account of this episode in Matthew 26:52.. listen carefully:
‘And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.
Then said Jesus unto him,
Put up again thy sword into his place! (“Sheath your sword!”)
for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.’
Got that? Let’s hear it again,…
for all they that take the sword shall PERISH with the sword.’
Does that sound like a savior encouraging us to pick up the weapons of men?
And the word ‘PERISH’.. is the same word found in John 3:16, …It does not mean die, it means LOSE ETERNAL LIFE!!!
For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not PERISH,
but have everlasting life.
PERISH is used of them who DO NOT BELIEVE IN HIM, and will NOT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.
So obviously the sword that most men think of when they hear of it, is not what Jesus was talking about when he said to ‘take it up.’
Paul later clarified this in his Letter to the Ephesians, telling us that our Sword IS ‘THE WORD OF GOD.’
But just in case someone is not convinced.. and since ‘words’ may be mistranslated, or misunderstood.. Let’s look again at the Lord’s own ACTIONS, by way of EXAMPLE, which cannot be misunderstood -
There is a record in Luke chapter 9 which speaks volumes. In this record, Jesus is come with his disciples to a Samaritan village.
Do you remember when a Samaritan woman was surprised that Jesus would speak to her.. because the ‘Jews have nothing to do with the Samaritans.1’ (they considered them as ‘dogs’). OK here it is..
‘Jesus sent messengers on ahead, who went into a Samaritan village to get things ready for him;
but the people there did not welcome him, because he was heading for Jerusalem.
And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?..
(Haha,. they sound like they might have been sitting in the school room in the video above!
Isn’t it amazing how the ‘followers of Jesus’ can be so anxious to curry favor with him, that they MISS HIS ENTIRE MESSAGE, and are willing to ‘kill others’ to please him or God?)
‘But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, “Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them.” Luke 9:52- 56
It doesn’t get much clearer than that does it?
So what exactly did Jesus mean by a ‘Sword’ then? Again, to get to the bottom of a truth, when there appears to be a ‘contradiction’ either in word or in meaning, we MUST do a ‘SCRIPTURE BUILDUP’. That is, check OTHER similiar records and compare them.**
**IF PEOPLE would do that, NOBODY WOULD ACCUSE PAUL of ever having been sick. The phrase ‘A THORN IN THE FLESH’, is used FOUR TIMES in the Old Testament, always for the same thing.. ‘People - who persecute - people’.
‘By ‘Sword’ - JESUS MEANT ‘DIVISION’.
How do we know?..
BIBLE RESEARCH KEY;
Check EVERY reference to any particular record in the Bible to make sure you understand it correctly;
Check EVERY WORD in the original languages (Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic) to make sure that the translation you are reading has the original intention of the Word. (BibleHub.com is great for that. You can see any verse in any translation and in the original languages.)
Look for HEBREWISMS and ORIENTALISMS and FIGURES of SPEECH - to see if what you are reading is not to be taken ‘literally’.
The Bible is a book FULL of Metaphor, Simile, Pattern, Template, Shadow and Mirror. Learn HOW to interpret the ancient texts.
And at the very least, always COMPARE LIKE RECORDS.. as we are about to do..
Getting back to Matthew 10:34 the Lord said’
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth.
I did not come to bring peace BUT A SWORD..”
THEN HE EXPLAINS…
“For I have come to turn ‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
Well, if we are to understand the ‘Sword’ as these men in the video are being taught, THEIR OWN FAMILIES should lock their bedroom door at night..
He didn’t mean that. Jesus meant division and SAID SO - if only they would quote his words entirely.
In the LIKE RECORD - Luke 12:51, That’s exactly what Luke quoted Jesus as saying:
‘Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth?
I tell you, NAY, BUT RATHER, DIVISION’.
FURTHERMORE;
In the Gospels, and the Book of Acts, recording the rise of the Church of God in Christ - we never see any of his disciples pick up a weapon other than the Word of God.
Jesus did not say he came to bring war. He said a 'sword'. A METAPHOR for DIVISION.
But, this is how to fool people,.. that's how satan fooled Eve.. Just make it sound like something GOD has said., and the fools will believe it.
The TRAGEDY of this of course - is threefold:
Men who believe this garbage will perish.
People who might have been led to Christ - run away.
American Christians look like a bunch of murdering fools to the world.
FURTHERMORE:
If all of these verses and records were not enough, we have these too:
Matthew 5:39
But I tell you not to resist an evil person.
If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also;
John 18:36
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world; if it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. But now My kingdom is not of this realm.”
2 Corinthians 10:3-4
For though we live in the flesh, WE DO NOT WAGE WAR according to the flesh.
The WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT CARNAL’ (physical)
but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds!”
Romans 12:17-21
RECOMPENSE NO MAN EVIL FOR EVIL,
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves,
but rather give place unto wrath:
for it is written, VENGEANCE IS MINE!
I WILL REPAY - saith the Lord.’
In summary, No. Jesus did NOT call us to be warriors with physical weapons. Neither does the Lord God approve of the wholesale slaughter of innocent life in Gaza, and other parts of what is being called ‘Israel’. I could write a whole book on all the Scriptures that speak of the ‘gathering of Isreal’, which is to take place AFTER Armageddon and just BEFORE the 1000 year rest. In fact the ‘gathering of Israel into the Land INTRODUCES the Millennium Kingdom! BOTH still future events!
I will be addressing that soon, but do you see how easy it is to convince a man of anything, if he will not put the time in, to search the Scriptures himself.
You see why the hireling churches do not teach HOW to read the Bible; and they have eliminated from their curriculum the things that would enable men and women to research the Scriptures themselves.. namely the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, which allows anyone to “listen to the voice of the holy spirit of truth’.
These false ministers closed the churches in 2020 also - and look at how many people have been hurt or killed by the lies of the ‘kings of the earth’, all either supported by or uncontested by the churches.
SAINT. The only safety in this world is found in truth. My ministry is to teach that, and enable you in every way I know - to find it. I will do that till the cows come home or the Trumpets sound.
God bless you,
Maranatha,
Victoria
Bless you Victoria, praise the Lord!
What a way to start the Saturday morning (for me reading this)!
Much love, God bless!
Thank you! John and I read this tonight! We are reading Luke together now and just read about division! And guess what Holy Spirit told me the same thing you said… God bless you!
