SPEAKING IN TONGUES.. WHAT IS IT?

We need to look at the manifestation of Speaking in Tongues. This is a good start.

Someone asked me what the 6 languages were in the clip above. OK, in order they are:

1. English

2. Greek

3. German

4. Spanish

5. Russian

6. Tongues

Were you able to discipher the ‘tongues’ from the ‘languages of man’?

Make no mistake - you need not be a linguist to speak in tongues. It’s as easy as falling off a greaced log backwards. Because YOU are not choosing the words, the Holy Spirit is. Which is why Paul said we don’t always know what to pray for, or how to pray, but the Spirit ALWAYS does. Making it the most POWERFUL type of prayer we can offer, after praise to God.

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we don’t always know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. Romans 8:26

SPEAKING IN TONGUES - WHAT IS IT?

The Bible says of tongues that it is:

1. The only way to REALLY call Jesus Lord - for without the spirit within and the clothing of power, (Spirit of Fire Baptism) someone can say anything, but not mean it. I Corinthians 12:2

2. I Corinthians 13:1 - It is the tongues of men or angels - Whichever it is, it will be a language that YOU do not know how to speak. Why? So that you can’t "EDIT’ the words spoken. They are the ‘words that the holy spirit speaketh’. Which is what makes them PERFECT.

3. Magnifying God - Acts 10:46

4. Speaking the Wonderful works of God - Acts 2:11

5. Speaks with God divine secrets - I Corinthians 14:2

6. Builds you up spiritually - I Corinthians 14:4

7. Gives thanks well - I Corinthians 14:17

8. Builds up the speaker in his ‘holy’ faith. Jude 20

9. A sign to unbelievers - I Corinthians 14:22

10. The PROOF of the presence of the holy spirit baptism. Acts 10:45,46

11. NOTHING without love behind it. I Corinthians 13:1

12. ENCOURAGED by the Apostle Paul to the Church - I Corinthians 14:18

There is every reason in the world for a Christian to covet Speaking in Tongues. For our spiritual edification, meaning ‘building ourselves up in the spirit to where we are in tune with the Lord’ - there are only TWO ways mentioned in the Bible -

1. Studying the Bible itself, VIZ: Romans 10:17

2. Speaking in tongues - Jude 20 and I Corinthians 14:4

NONE of us can say we don’t need to be built up spiritually.

Last word on Speaking in Tongues:

A few years ago, I sat in the last church we attended and heard the minister call speaking in tongues ‘confusion’. The Apostle Paul would have left there too, seeing as he himself said ‘I would that ye ALL would speak in tongues’, and declared that the ONLY TRUE way to call Jesus ‘LORD’ is by speaking in tongues.

The only confusion was in this minister’s head, having not read the Scriptures. You see friend,. once a man is taught error, he is harder to UNTeach than an infidel. The tragedy is that the minister who is unteachable, is transferring his unbelief of the Scriptures to his flock, who will also live a powerless Christian life - unlike what the Lord had in mind when left his disciples behind to be ‘ambassadors’ for Christ.

I recorded this video, with a few other first ever videos, in 2020, when the Churches were closing up shop. The LORD impressed upon me to do so, seeing as the need was so urgent, and so few people READ any more, preferring to ‘watch a video’.
