CULTURE KNOWS NO BORDERS

Recently, after I posted a lovely folk song, sung by people all over the former Soviet Union, inCLUDing Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Russia.. a few of my subscribers ditched me.

That’s great. Now I know that to shake off the loose shingles, of people who don’t know what is true, don’t want to know, and care more about division that unity, and about politics than culture.. Ironically, the people singing are from disparate parts of the former Soviet Union, that had their freedom granted without a shot fired, and are living in peace together with Russia.. everywhere that a foreign power has not posed a false revolution.

I’ll post more of the same. Here’s one of my favorite melodies, with performers from Tashkent, Sevastopol, Moscow, Krasnodar, Glazov, Samarkand, Kerch, Sochi, Almati, Natuxhavskaya, Kostroma, Sverdlovskaya, Balakova, Desnogorsk, Novouralsk.. etc.
