THE THING THAT DRAWS PEOPLE TO CHRIST., and it's not theology..
These images tell the same story. 2 people suffering the ravages of advanced eczema. One is a 70 year old lady, Carla, the other a young girl, Jenna, who suffered eczema from infanthood.
They were both marvelously healed, and not by the years of medicines taken or applied in desperate attempts to free them., but by the first of 3 in the order of the methods in which God heals us:
REPENTANCE
Ministering healing (In person Prayer - NOT prayer lists)
Godly medicines.
Their stories are illuminating..
The 70 year old’s hands and arms were hellish. And nothing was effective in ameliorating her pain. Which she was to learn.. was self inflicted..
This is where I would point out - again - the reason my Stack is called - The Parallel Universe’.. For God hath set in this world physical things, in such a way as to mirror spiritual things, that the invisible might be clearly seen. We see this all over, and the Biblical principle in verbalized in Romans 1:20
For the INVISIBLE THINGS of him from the creation of the world are CLEARLY SEEN
being understood by the THINGS THAT ARE MADE,
even his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse’
Romans 1:20
That is a loaded verse.
In it we find the most quixotic thing in all the earth and heaven- that:
GOD, who made everything that is visible (Physical)
did so, by that which is INVISIBLE (His words - that are SPIRIT and are LIFE- John 6:62) -
so that - that which is VISIBLE (Physical) would reflect back that which is INVISIBLE - ie.. spiritual truth.'!
Sickness is among the best examples of this rule. For the man who is physically sick, has a spiritual affliction. Thus, remove the spiritual affliction/ error, and with it goes the sickness. Which is the best reason to not run first to a doctor, since if he succeeds in healing someone, but the root cause remains, that person may ‘die in their sins’.
But there’s more!
Illnesses REFLECT, or MIRROR their spiritual cause. To make that cause VISIBLE>
For Example:
When people have bubble inside of them, such as vericose veins, or tumors, or hemmerhoids, things that grow and grow till they POP.. this is anger.
Unrelenting, and maintained over time the physical bubbles grow and grow until their explosion can be lethal. This is how my mother died. A very angry woman, given to lashing out unexpectedly, my mom never learned the Biblcal principle of ‘putting away wrath’, or ‘forgetting those things which are behind’, or ‘not letting the sun go down on your anger (a lesson about how long to stay angry).. She had vericose veins that advanced to deep vein thrombosis, till one day, one of the clots broke free and went to her lungs, and suffocated her., in front of my then 13 year old sister. She was 49.
Romans 1:20 also points out, that since all of these things are clearly written, both in Scripture and in nature, men will have no excuse for not knowing. Though the hardest judgments will fall on the teachers who failed in their mission. As, these unnecessary tragedies are made possible by ministers that fail to teach the basics of the Gospel and Church Epistles.
OK, back to Carla..
I will quote exactly what the Living Savior Ministry wrote on the back of each card:
‘Carla was seeking healing of a terrible case of eczema. Through the LIving Savior Ministries, she received a word that her problem had to do with ‘self hatred and loathing’. (Editors Note: Do you see the mirror! She was inflicting her own ugliness!)
She didn’t pay much attention, because she couldn’t see how that could be such a sin. Two weeks after the photos were taken of her hands, she was awake in the night, petitioning the LORD about her condition. HE answered her ‘Self-hatred’ and self loathing’. She realized for the first time in her life, she saw what a terrible sin this had been. “I created yu in MY Image, and this is what you think of that?’
She truly repented and apologized again and aagin, now that she saw how this hatred had affected her world view.. She despised everyone else, because she had despised herself for so many years!
That night as she was wrapped in the loving presence of GOD, she repented and knew that her healing had begun. For the next eight months, she genuinely forgave herself and others. It has been a process. It didn’t happen overnight, but HE healed her! Her hands look completely normal now and are actually prettier than before she developed teh eczema, which is what she had prayed for ! PRAISE THE LORD!
YOU SEE the GOODNESS of GOD!? He didn’t let her DIE in her sins!
I keep telling people. SICKNESS is God’s STOP SIGN. It is His merciful way of letting us see our SPIRITUAL ERROR! Else it were ‘invisible’ and we might have an excuse in that day. We won’t because God put sickness and disease in the world, to stop us in our tracks and have us ask Him, WHERE am I missing the mark!
After which we may repent, be healed, and ‘go and sin no more’. (John 5:14)
